Captain's Log: 08/29/05
First English paper is progressing on schedule. Struggling to find a point in most of my Enterprise teacher's ramblings. So far we've learned how to get on the "u-drive"(where the syllabus will be posted) and the most basic aspects of economics. Barnes and Noble has yet to get my chemistry and Enterprise books to me...despite the fact that they had extra copies of the chemistry book on the shelves. My roommates parents visited yesterday, yet I didn't see them at all because I spent 4 hours getting the snot beat out of me(Combat Club). Saturday's corn festival was mainly just an outdoor flee market with overpriced food booth's, but I did get a giant Darth Vader pez dispenser half price. We shall see what the rest of the week shall bring.

Random Geek thing
here's a pretty cool thing I found on a new friend's livejournal. Try it out. C'mon. What are ya Chicken? Why am I still writing. Just try it. Go on. It won't bite. Well not physically but maybe emotionally.

hello for whatever time you happen to be reading this
So.... everyone else has a blog so i guess i gotta make one as well.
The first week of ISU has been pretty good. Passages was pretty much pointless, but the hypnotist was amusing. The only class I've really done anything in is Japanese, which also happens to be my favorite class so far. The teacher is super nice and all the people in the class are really cool. So far we've learned basic greetings and 30 hiragana letters. We've done absolutely nothing in my other classes.
On another note(or more accurately the same one), I have found people to start a D&D group with and have been convinced to join Medieval Combat Club...through people in my Japanese class. The D&D group will probably have a couple rookies, but also good veterans so things should be fine. After class today, I followed my new friends to the the quad where all the clubs were set up including-Combat Club! If you don't know what this is , it's where you take foam weapons and try to kill your friends with them. I joined a couple fights and I didn't do too bad. I also learned Viking Football("catch" with a javelin) which started too teach me how to weild a javelin. I'm going back out there pretty soon so I gotta close up for today. See you next time, Same cheese time! Same cheese channel!
